  • August 20, 2004 - August Meeting

Yep, we had one. About 15 people showed up and we discussed DefCon 12.

  • July 20, 2004 - July Meeting

Wow, we had over 30 people show up. We decided to move the meetings to Thursday, by a 54%-41% vote (I voted to never have the meeting again).

Simple Nomad did another great talk, this time he was discussing a new project that has no redeeming social value what-so-ever, called Mystery Net. It was great and very entertaining.

  • June 10, 2004 - June Meeting

This month MadHat discussed nmap and what all it can do and how it can be used. We had a good turn out and talked abount a dc214 TShirt and that we are meeting on Thursday the 15th of July instead of the 14th.

  • May 20, 2004 - May Meeting

Rusty did a great talk on the Knoppix Security Tools Distribution (STD). Another great turnout.

  • April 20, 2004 - April Meeting

We had a good turn out this month again. Plenty of new faces. The talk was presented by MadHat about his http scanner. How it works, its advantages, shortcomings, etc... There are links in the media section and there should be audio of the meeting as well.

  • March 11, 2004 - March Meeting

Another great meeting. We had another round table, but this time it worked. We discussed Cryptography. We covered what most of the basics, common algorithms, symmetric vs asymmetric, one way hashes, block vs stream ciphers, and more. Links to notes used as well as some other good reading on crypto can be found in the media section of the website.

  • February 12, 2004 - February Meeting

Great meeting this month. We had Simple Nomad do an updated talk on Cover Communications. I say updated because it was part of his talk from last years Black Hat talk, but with new information about nCovert2. We also recorded the presentation, so expect to see it available in the Media section soon along with the slides.

    See you next month.

  • January 14, 2004 - January Meeting

Once again we had a good turnout. The best so far. We discussed the CISSP certification, what it is and why someone would want to get it.
