silc Clients
- silc - The SILC Client user interface is based on the popular Irssi IRC client, and most of the Irssi scripts and plugins work with SILC Client. Because SILC Client is based on Irssi the chatting experience is very familiar and makes it very easy for new users to start using SILC.
- gaim - SILC Gaim is a full featured graphical SILC client using one of the most popular chat clients in existence, the Gaim, for friendly user interface experience. With SILC Gaim you can also use all the other chat protocols that Gaim supports, such as ICQ, IRC, Jabber, MSN and many more.
- Silc Gaim Win32 - See above, just for Windows
- Silky - Silky runs on Windows, Linux, OS X, NetBSD, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and possibly in some other systems. It is based on the GTK2 runtime libraries. Silky is an open source application, with GPL licence.
- wSilc - wSilc is a Graphical Silc client written using wxWindows
- Colloquy - Mac OS X client that supports both IRC and silc. Provides access to AppleScritps, plugins, skins and more.
- silcer - Java based client still in alpha. SILCER project tries to develop new, user-friendly and portable client for SILC network. Main argument is usage of Java programming language and its graphical toolkit Swing.
- Bombyx - This project is an attempt to go in a new direction in group chat interfaces. We will be designing an interface to the SILC (Secure Internet Live Chat) system that will try to break away from typical IRC or group chat clients currently available. It will use research from many diverse areas, and attempt to help users have engaging and entertaining conversations easily. By combining word relationship analysis, agents technology, and recent research in data visualization, we believe we can create a unique interface.
- milc - Milc is a cross platform multimedia 'chat' program, using the silc protocol.
- SILC Plugin for Irssi - Thanks to Irssi's modularity it is rather easy to extent the client with an additional protocol handler. Even better, the protocol can be compiled as a module and loaded during runtime in a "normal" Irssi client.
